Lisa Williams is a visionary and a woman of faith. Her parents, Mr.
Sylvester Williams and Maebell Williams-Gibbs, ensured her life-long
success by introducing her to God and supporting her in all of her
endeavors. She is the youngest of eight siblings and is a native of
Jackson, MS.

As a child, she wanted to become a professional singer and nurse.
However, as time passed, she developed a love for children and
further pursued a career in education. Eventually, the driving force
behind educating children for (6) years with the Jackson Public School
District in Jackson, MS, became the same force that led her
into education administration. She served as Principal of Durant
Elementary School in Durant, MS for (3) years.

Ms. Williams is currently a full-time candidate for a Doctoral Degree in
Early Childhood Education. She has entrusted this learning process to
Jackson State University, where she has also earned a Master of Science
Degree in Education, Supervision and Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in English.    

As the choir director at Cathedral AME Zion Church and an educator at
heart, she aims to walk in her full potential and encourages others to
do the same.
